I am working on an order right now to by a second one of these. I have owner my current one for 3 years. yes, you do have to eventually change the batteries, but in the 3 full years i have had mine i have changed the batteries 3 times. And i do use this as my only can opener! i'm sure there are better can openers on the market, but for being hands free and pretty cheap it is a great buy and product.

I've had this for over two months and it works great. The first time I tried it, it didn't work, so I put new batteries in it and haven't had to change them yet.

I opened 2 large cans (28 oz.) of green beans and the batteries were dying on me before the 2nd can was done. And no it wasn't the batteries because it was a new pack of Duracells. This thing can burn up batteries. It's been in my drawer ever since. I've gone back to my electric one.
