I ordered this blanket in twin size to use as an oversized throw. We have a green wicker love seat in our bedroom that no longer matched the new color scheme and smaller sized throws weren't working. This was great, because it's large enough, yet doesn't drag on the ground. The reddish color is a good match for my drapes and comforter. I love the loose weave, which makes the blanket feel soft and warm, but also gives a richer texture than just a fleece blanket would. I plan on buying another in queen size to use in layering under our comforter for the winter and alone in the summer.

Great blanket! Others said the weave made for good air-flow, and they are right. It is soft and cozy. Also, I love that it is a good size as the typical full/queen is usually a bit too narrow and we end up "fighting" over the covers. We have a cat, and I was worried that she would cause pulls in the fabric, but that has not happened. It really looks lovely in the room, too, as it is soft white, paired with soft white sheets, and the rest of the room is decorated with rich, colorful tones. At such a reasonable price, I think I did remarkably well!

Although not as soft as I thought it would be once washed, it did wash well. It's a good weight for year round use, and I think with repeated washings it will be a favorite in the softness category.

IF YOUR NOT PICKY ABOUT COLOR THESE BLANKETS VERY SOFT AND WARM. I ORDERED 2 KING SIZED IN BONE COLOR HAS A YELLOW TINT.ONLY REASON NOT 5 STARS IS COLOR.

We live in Los Angeles, where it doesn't get cold like the East Coast, however, this blanket keeps us very warm. It has a good weight, and the texture is nice. Love that it's 100% Cotton. I purchased 3 for our home.

On September 7, 2010:
This is a very loosley woven blanket which means it will tear up quickly. When I returned it to the store the sales clerk refused to refund sales tax. WHAT! Found a less expensive, egyption cotton blanket elsewhere. I would rate no stars but wasn't given that option.

On August 21, 2010:
In an effort to save money, we turned the thermostat up in the house this summer. That meant that all of my existing blankets were too uncomfortable to sleep under. This one is perfect. The weave is loose enough to let heat escape and to let the breeze from the fans in. I suspect it will be a good layering blanket in the winter, thanks to that loose weave. Inserted between two other blankets, it will create pockets of trapped heat. And I prefer layering blankets because - as a middle-ageish woman - I never know when I'll need to start flinging blankets off of me in the middle of the night. ;-)

I LOVE THIS BLANKET. It is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Easy care. Looks very nice on the bed. I would tell others to get this item.
