This liner did nothing to block out the sun or the heat from my bedroom. It claims to block out 99% of the light, but even with this liner on the panel curtains I bought the sun still shines right through. This is a horrible product.

On May 11, 2010:
our sliding glass doors get direct afternoon sunlight which causes our den to get uncomfortably hot. no one goes near the den until after sunset. i bought these liners with the hope that they would block out some of the heat and to my surprise, they work great! i would not be surprised if my electricity bill is reduced this month! i can't believe how well they work, plus, you can't beat the price!
